Cameron Maybin

I love his tools, he can hit, run, catch, and just is a pure athelete. He had hit .276 with 6 homers and 31 SB while playing a really fun to watch center field. He has proved to be what we all thought he'd be when he was drafted. We aquired him for two middle relievers Ryan Webb and Edward Mujica, who have done good but not great. Maybin is 24 and a stud. I think Maybin will be our CF for a while and we should extend him now. 6 years 30 million. He is just fun to watch play and is our only producing offensive piece that looks like a long-term player for SD. No offense Jesus Guzman.

2 Strange Cases

Two Padres OF are having very up and down careers, one in the minors, one on the Padres.

Rymer Liriano and Kyle Blanks. Blanks Has hit HR in two straight games including a grand slam. He is heating up! I think he could finally be developing into what I hoped! He does have a .167 avg, but Maybin, Blanks, Rizzo, Guzman, and others are making this team exciting.

Liriano is confusing, he has stolen 54 bases, hit .297 with  11 HR and played a sterling CF this year but struggled in High A. He hit .350 with 53 SB and 11HR in Ft. Wayne and .127 with 1SB and 0HR in 60 high-a at bats.

In his first year, he hit .198 with 8 bombs and 9 SB in 200 at bats, with the Dominican team, and was promoted to the Arizona League where he hit .350, had 8 HR and 15 SB in 250 AB's. SD liked the 19 year old so much they moved him to Eugene, so he hit .271 in 200 AB's there  but didn't hit a bomb. They were impressed so they moved him up to Fort Wayne(A-) and he hit .191 with 2 HR and 11 steals in 200 more AB's. For some bizzare reason they brought him up to Lake Elsinore(A) and he hit .220 with a HR and 6 steals in exactly 50 at bats. His current year was spent in Ft. Wayne. See above.

These 2 OF could help the Padres a lot over the next few years.
