The Padres played thier annual charity game against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday. The Mariners won 13-12 in ten innings BUT spring training games do NOT count. The hitters are obviously ahead of the pitchers. Tim Stauffer gave up 5 runs in 1.2 innings and Cory Luebke threw 1.1 innings and gave up 2 runs. Brad Hawpe went 2 for 3 and Nick Hundley hit a Grand Slam! James Darnell had a breakout game with 2 doubles and a solo home run! Overall I think we had a good game.
Prospect and New Padres alert:
Anthony Rizzo(part of Gonzalez deal) grounded out to first sharply and looked fluid.
Brad Hawpe had a good game going 2-3
Player of the game:
A James Darnell(2 doubles, 1 home run)
B Brad Hawpe(2 singles)
C Nick Hundley(grand slam)
Vote in the comments with A/B/C and will announce the winner next post.

Chargers Mock Draft
I'm changing it up today! The Chargers mock draft here today:
Round 1, Pick 17
Julio Jones, WR Alabama
He could provide some punch as the new #1 Wide Reciever is Vincent Jackson departs via free agency. He is another tall wide reciever that the Chargers love.
Round 2, Pick 17
Casey Mattews, LB Auburn
His brother led the league in sacks this year, his dad led the league multiple times, so he comes from a football family. He would be our inside linebacker, most of ours are eligible for free agency.
Round 2, Pick 28
DeMarcus Love, OT
Round 3, Pick 14
Mason Foster, OLB Washington
7 sacks, 162 tackles
The Chargers should also sign CB Nnamdi Asomugha, move CB Quentin Jammer to Safety, and sign Eric Weddle to a 4 year 12 million dollar extension.
