First Four

Game #1
W 5-3

Starter Tim Stauffer went 6 strong innings and Cameron Maybin was the star of the game going 2-5 with a double and a homer. The home run came of Cardinals closer Ryan Franklin in the 9th inning; we took the game into the eleventh before winning the game on a Maybin hit. Pat Neshek(1-0)

Game #2
W 11-3

Clayton Richard(1-0) went 6 innings while Chase Headley led the offense, driving in 4 and hitting a 2-run blast in the 8th inning. Our offense was very scrappy as we were bunting with Hudson, our #3 hitter!

L 0-2

Dustin Mosely(0-1) and Jaime Garcia(1-0) had a pitchers duel as Garcia threw a 4-hit shutout and Mosely went 7 strong innings of 1 run ball.

Game #4
W 3-1

The home season started off with Jason Mraz singing the national anthem and Trevor Hoffman throwing out the first pitch. They game actually was started by a messy inning by Aaron Harang(1-0), giving up a leadoff hit to Andres Torres who stole a base. Two consecutive ground outs brought Torres home for the Giants first and only run. Harang went 5 more innings of shut out ball(with 6k's) so his final line was 1 win 1 run 6 innings 6 k's, his ERA is currently 1.50. Our offense was lead by catcher Nick Hundley who went 3-4 and threw out a base runner!
